Karter's 8 month birthday! We stopped to visit Grandpa at work!

It was actually COLD outside this day....by the weather right now you wouldn't believe it!

Karter-oh how time flies....

Is it really September?

Is my baby really this close to be 1 year old??

How did time go so quickly?

I am just loving being a mom to my little man Karter.

He officially sits well on his own, has two teeth (that we know of), and scoots pretty well! :)

Here are some pictures of what we have been up to lately.

My dad had a trip in Nevada and my mom and I decided to tag along....this is me in my carseat looking cuter than ever! I was so good for my mommy and daddy in the car ride there.

We didn't plan to give the same look. I look like my daddy sometimes but I look alot like my mommy too....what do you think?

My mom LOVES when I snuggle her. She is so comfy.

My grandpa loves to watch sports so sometimes I get to chill in his bed with him! :)

This is one of my FAVORITE toys to play with. I always smile when it makes noise

When I whine for attention this is the face I make. Isn't it cute!?

Me and my big brother's NICU buddy Austin. He is one day younger than Kaden. We are so happy to have the Biship family still in our lives! :)

Me learning to drink from a sippy cup....water is kind of boring but when I am really thirsty I will drink it!

Karter- 6 months

Karter at 6 months

-loves his jumper

-loves to hear himself talk

-loves to smile and laugh

-will jump in your lap

-sleeps 11-12 hours a night :) :)

-eats breakfast lunch and dinner plus two milk feedings

-weighs 18 pounds 8 ounces

-is 27.5 inches long

-head circum. 18 inches

-wears 6-12 month outfits (depends on the outfit)

-loves his family!

-is not afraid of strangers yet

-crawls backwards on his back

-scoots on his tummy

My sweetest Kaden,

Your little brother will be 6 months shortly. It was 5 days shy of 6 months that you passed from this world to the next next. You were not developmentally at his stage. You were much more like a new born. You loved to be snuggled and you only smiled at me a handfull of times.

It was just Monday night like any other and as your dad and I drove your brother home from Grandma and Grandpa Addington's I began to cry. I hurt for you. I miss you more than I can bear at times. The hardest part of the grief is that it is my only connection to you. I miss the connection I had while you were in my arms. I feel guilty that your brother is now in my arms and I feel joy and love for him like I can't feel for you because you are not here in this world. Don't get me wrong Kaden....I love you. I feel joy from the memories of you but sometimes the pain is so sharp and hurts so much because you are not in my arms. I don't get to do all the things mommies do that have a 2 year old and a 6 month old.

I wonder what you would look like and what you would be doing. I wonder how proud of your little brother you would be. Oh how I wonder....and when I do....I LONG for you. I long to feel you in my arms again. Someday....just not today....
